Director-General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muda Yusuf has urged the Government to invest in education.
This conversation took place at the Surulere Economic and Job Summit which held yesterday in Surulere, Lagos State.
Yusuf made recourse to the ongoing trend in the North as one of the ripple effects of lack of proper education. He also berated the government for failing to exploit its human capital.
“We are beginning to see the impacts in banditry in the North. We cannot have quality human resource if the government doesn’t invest in its own people.”
Muda called on the government to invest in its people as well as in the healthcare system. He reminded the Government that the insecurity in the Northern Region will continue to grow if unchecked.
“Governance is about investing in people. Insecurity problems began in the North East and has spread through the North West and North Central and it is now gradually approaching Abuja.”
