Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has disclosed that acting Chief Justice of Kebbi State, Justice Asabe Karatu has been sacked by Governor Atiku Bagudu after she alleged her non-confirmation as the State CJ was due to her Christian background.
Fani-Kayode disclosed in this in a series of tweets on his verified and official twitter account, stating that the governor has also denied her pension benefit after 38-years of service in the State.
Fani-Kayode tweets was in a reaction to a reply by Sharom Miriam Shehu to a statement posted on social media by the First Lady of Kebbi, Zainab Bagudu on the ranging controversy.
Fani-Kayode said, “Well spoken. When I raised this issue of great national importance she said that I should be ignored and that I am looking for attention. When I told her off and said that I am not interested in her attention and that I don’t do other peoples wives she invited me to Kebbi for a visit and said I should come and see her cows.”
“This is someone who I have known since she was 15 and someone whose father I reverred.”
“Instead of offering a plausible explanation for her husbands shameful behaviour or calling me privately to put their side of the story. She insulted me publicly.”
“Well I am not surprised. After all I am just a Christian. The attitude of these people amazes me.Meanwhile I spoke to the former CJ Asabe Karatu at length and thestory is even worse than the public is aware of.”
“The Gov. is so vindictive that he has taken away all her police protection, her official vehicle that she is entited to and all the other perks that are her due.”
“He has also denied her of her full pension by refusing to confirm her and then sacking her. This is after 38 years of diligent and meritorious service in the states civil service and Judiciary. And all because she is Christian and she refused to be a puppet to Atiku Bagudu. What a tragedy!”
