Human Rights lawyer and social commentator, Abdul Mahmud, popularly known as the Great Oracle has blamed Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for how the party fair at the November 16, governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa.
Mahmud in a series of tweets on his official twitter handle, said “what you see in Bayelsa and Kogi are the consequences of condonation.”
See his tweets below…
If as a party buff you condone the wrongful acts of your party- governors, NWC, etc – you must bear what the Great Oracle describes as the “collateral consequences” of their wrongful acts. It is not enough to cry when the head is off.
What are these wrongful acts, or collateral consequences? Simple, they are: 1) your governor destroys all structures of democratic governance in your party; 2) Turns governance into totemism- he’s the totem god to be worshipped by all; 3) uses the state police command to harass critics inside and outside his party; 4) refuses to conduct democratic LGA polls. Whenever he does, he rigs the polls; 5) the NWC condones the improprieties of its governors; 6) BoT members become contractors to governors and start defending undemocratic practices of governors.
All of this forms wrongful acts and they rub off terribly on the fighting spirit of the party. This is how Seriacke Dickson destroyed PDP in Bayelsa
And Damkwambo sent PDP into oblivion in Gombe.
The youth wing on social media that should call the party to its wrongful acts are in the game for one thing: hustle. They are eating their messes of porridge
How many of these youth members of the party called Dickson and Damkwambo out? They were busy collecting money and running their social media handles, buying cars, and shagging big baes with those monies!
Look at NASS, there’s only a lone voice there. Abaribe. PDP crippled itself in the HoReps when a pretender was imposed by Gbaja as the minority leader. Have you ever heard Elumelu’s voice on the real big issues?
Or the PDP youths on these streets decrying the state of the opposition in NASS? Buhari has got them where he wants them. What you see in Bayelsa and Kogi are the consequences of condonation. No more.
Everyone knew what was up in Bayelsa and Kogi: the arms pile-up, uniforms being sewn for thugs. What was the responses of these youths? They returned to their WhatsApp coven of witchery and wizardry to spew froth!
Until Nigerians kick the faces of these party buffs on Twitter, they’ll continue to spew froth and spin lies to mask the role they play in emasculating the opposition.
