Political Analyst, Mazi Chima Amadi has in a reply to a tweet from the current State Minister of Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo that under President Muhammadu Buhari, bullets count more than votes.
Keyamo who has been in the news lately over his call for the regulation of the Social media Bill, had tweeted that real politics is different from Social Media
“Have you noticed that ALL Twitter Senators are finally out of the Upper Chambers? It tells us that the world of REAL politics in Africa is not yet played on social media.”
“Social media has not had a substantial impact on our politics. Real politics is different from Social Media.”
But Amadi in a reply said “Of course, bullets count more than votes under your boss.
Keyamo had earlier said on the bill that, “Those so-called overnight Social Media ‘activists’ who oppose the Social Media Bill should first stop blocking those who irritate them with insults, unblock all those they have blocked and apologise to them. You can’t be intolerant and ask others to be. Practice what you preach.”
The Minister tweet was followed by a video of him where he once referred to #Nigeria’s former President Umar Musa Yar’Adua as a man with “half-brain”.
