“Mike Tyson wasn’t a one hand wonder. His offensive and defensive capabilities in the ring were perfect. Swift head movement and the most explosive combination of any heavyweight I have ever seen. Cus d’amato created a fighting machine out of Iron Mike freakish natural strength.”
“When a hook to the head made the then WBC champion Trevor Berbick continue to fall after struggling to his feet three times, it was Mike’s left hand. Against many of his opponents, it was the right or an upper cut.”
“Mike Tyson was on a different level- not to be compared to wilder It’s fight week and the hyperboles are handy for promotions and all, but don’t let’s compare sleep with death.”
“There is nothing about Wilder-or anyone in the current generation of heavyweight fighters- that is at the level of Mike Tyson.”
