Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist and a lead campaigner of the Bring Back Our Girls group (BBOG) says BBOG should be left alone from the discussion surrounding the transfer made by Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man to Hadiza Bala Usman, a former member of the group and current Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) Managing Director days before 2015 Presidential election.
People’s Gazzette, an Online News platform had earlier in a report disclosed how Dangote transferred Two Million Naira in two tranches to Ms. Bala Usman’s account with Access Bank.
Yesufu in a series of tweets said, BBOG was self-funded and stating that Hadiza was part of Buhari campaign team before she joined the group.

Yesterday I missed this gist till hours later when one Gejites tagged me(dem get their use). The desperation of many to find anything to drag BBOG is unbelievable. Anything for them to justify their callousness, lack of empathy and inhumanity in not demanding for #ChibokGirls
These money that was reported to have been transferred to Hadiza Bala Usman by Dangote was done in February 2015 so how does that concern #BringBackOurGirls that had at that time been a 9 months old advocacy? Wasn’t Hadiza part of Buhari campaign team?
Hadiza was part of Buhari campaign team. Before BBOG she was APC. I believe also CPC and it is said she even contested under CPC. So how is what she is reported to have collected in February 2015 in the month to 2015 election be about BBOG instead of their campaign?
#EndSars protesters did everything to ensure no politicians came close to the movement yet it didn’t stop the accusations that they had ulterior motive. Cowards will always have conspiracy theories to justify their cowardice. Just give them the middle finger and do your thing
There were many having tweetgasm waiting to see Aisha Yesufu’s name. They rushed to my TL yesterday. Cowards who were stuck in the behind of a tyrant and dictator with no shoe who camouflaged with being a weak and hopeless President. No shaking! I dey here! I full ground!
Transactional mindset will not let them understand empathy. They made their empathy expensive and only understand after they become victims. What a shame!
I would rather stand for others and use my money doing it. It is cheaper for me than being a victim.
Feel free to go through my bank statements. The bbog you will see are on the debit side. When I needed to do a 4 year financial account, I was shocked at the debits sef! Some mentally abducted, mind poverty stricken oxygen wasting vessel think money was what we were there for.
Are you saying BBOG needed money from Dangote of all people to go and amplify an advocacy that had gone viral and the world knew about it?
Come on! That thing between your ears is brain not amala, akpu, tuwon masara or eba! Use it and stop disgracing yourself
