Christine Assange, the mother of Journalist Julian Assange has made a passionate appeal to the outgoing US President, Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden to put an end to the case against the WikiLeaks founder.
Assange said this in a tweet after London Court ruled against extraditing him to the US stating that the decade long process was enough punishment for her son.
Her tweet read, “UK Judge Vanessa Baraister ruled against extraditing my son Julian to the US on medical grounds. US prosecutors state they will appeal.”
“I implore Pres Trump & Pres elect Biden to order them to stand down. The decade long process was the punishment. He has suffered enough.”
A United Kingdom judge, Vanessa Baraister, had earlier today blocked the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange extradition to the United States citing his mental health and risk of suicide in the US.
